OUR STORY

With more than 40 years of combined professional experience, Mike and Juan have first-hand navigated a world that hasn't been designed for them, while successfully leading in their previous roles. Mike was Chief People Officer for a global international development organization, as well as leading cultural shifts for multiple teams across the US. Juan has led multi-million dollar initiatives in Latin America and the US, as well as mentoring teams and elevating grassroots organizations in the US and Panamá.

 At Intersecting Solutions LLC, we offer people-centered solutions for an inclusive work culture. Through leadership coaching, our services are designed to elevate queer, POC, and other historically marginalized identities, while harnessing the potential they possess within. We specialize in evolving the practices of human resources to be more equitable and inclusive so businesses and organizations can be places where all people of diverse identities are welcome, want to stay, and thrive. We work with individuals on highlighting their capabilities and expertise, and elevating themselves as leaders while navigating and redesigning existing systems in the workplace and the outdoors. We are a queer and POC owned business of two with more than 40 years of combined professional experience navigating a world that hasn't been designed for us. We specialize in evolving the practices of human resources to be more equitable and inclusive so businesses and organizations can be places where all people of diverse identities are welcome, want to stay, and thrive.

 

Organizations and businesses that would like to move beyond their DEI statements and actionized their commitments are the ideal clients for these services. 

Intersectional HR services are core human resources functions intentionally redesigned through the lenses of Justice, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility, and include the following.

MANAGEMENT FOR THRIVING TEAMS
Collaborative talent engagement strategies

Working with teams on effective, collaborative and inclusive strategies, centering the intersecting identities and strengths of a diverse and engaged workplace.

 

Some of our services include: designing and training on performance evaluation processes and action plans, day-to-day coaching for managers, conflict resolution, employee relations, and administering and debriefing individual and team assessments, among other customizable services.

LEADERSHIP COACHING AND COALITION BUILDING
People-centered solutions for an inclusive, equitable, and just leader

Our services are designed to elevate queer, POC and other historically marginalized identities, while harnessing the potential they possess within. However, we are open to working with all people within the nonprofit and outdoor recreation industries who have actively made a commitment to the values of Justice, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility, and have already started their own journeys. 


Coaching services are unique to every client, however some of the basic aspects include: Up to three 60-minute coaching meetings a month, access to coach, administration and debrief of individual assessments, and many other add-ons that could be identified after the exploratory meeting.
